Job summary

Baro, the AI General Manager for consumer brands, seeks a Founding Senior Engineer in NYC (Hybrid) to join as the second engineer on a 5-person team. You will ship product from day one and coach a small team, owning the growth engine end-to-end.

You'll build the self-optimizing growth system, growth surfaces, and the orchestration layer with Shopify, Meta, and TikTok integrations, capturing each action as structured data to scale the product and company.

Qualifications

• Have 3–4+ years building production systems with end-to-end ownership.
• Have managed or coached engineers (team of 1–2).
• Love growth and e-commerce engineering: campaigns, lifecycle tooling, conversions.
• Built LLM-powered or agentic systems integrating third-party APIs.

Responsibilities

• Ship product end-to-end and grow the business with the founders.
• Own the growth engine and scale the engineering team as needed.
• Build the self-optimizing growth system and orchestration layer.
• Instrument every action and outcome as structured data for feedback.
