Job summary

Hacktron is seeking a founding security researcher to join a small, high-ownership team where your code will directly define the product and the company's trajectory. This role is hybrid, with work across San Francisco, Singapore, Hyderabad and London.

The base pay range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 per year. You will work closely with a founder to scale vulnerability research on open-source software and test LLM capabilities on real-world software.

Qualifications

• Must have strong understanding of reachability analysis and taint tracking.
• Familiarity with web application vulnerabilities and CVEs.
• Experience presenting technical security research at conferences (optional).
• Experience with traditional and LLM tooling for security research.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a founder to scale vulnerability research on open-source software.
• Create benchmarks to evaluate agent performance in real-world scenarios.
• Work with engineering to improve agent efficacy by observing performance on real systems.
• Review and test product and internal systems for security vulnerabilities.
