Hebrew Public seeks a Founding Director of Operations for OLAM Stamford, starting January 2027. You will partner with the Head of School to build startup systems, recruit and lead an operations team, and create day-to-day practices that welcome students in 2027–28.

In this hands-on role, you will engage families, coordinate vendors, manage facilities and safety, and scale operations as the school grows, reporting to the Head of School and network teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of six years of related experience, including operational leadership in schools or youth-serving organizations.
• Strong preference for candidates with startup experience, particularly launching a school or youth-serving organization, and/or charter school operations experience.

Responsabilités

• Translate the school’s vision into an actionable startup plan with milestones, responsibilities, and timelines for opening and the early years of growth.
• Design, launch, and directly manage systems for transportation, meals, facilities, safety, student records, attendance, data reporting, and family communications.
• Oversee school-level compliance and accurate records in partnership with network specialists, including health and safety requirements, charter obligations, education mandates, certification tracking, and workplace regulations.
• Build relationships with families and the community, recruit and enroll students, and establish a welcoming environment throughout the launch period.
• Develop budget, purchasing, vendors, contracts, and asset tracking to support launch milestones.
