Qualifications

• 3–7 years engineering experience with strong RL fundamentals.

• Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor) in production.
• Full-stack experience with TypeScript and AWS a plus.
• Experience with iOS/Swift/React Native or startup shipping cadence is a plus.

About the Role

Join an early engineering team at a seed-stage AI data company, building reinforcement learning environments from real-world voice and enterprise data. You will also develop production AI agents for enterprise customers and help shape technical direction as the team grows.

What You'll Do

• Build high-quality RL environments using proprietary voice and enterprise datasets.

• Build and deploy AI agents for enterprise customers.

• Partner with company leadership on technical direction and the product roadmap.

• Help lead the engineering function as the team grows.

• Ship quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality.

What We're Looking For

• Three to seven years of engineering experience and strong reinforcement learning fundamentals.

• Hands-on experience building RL environments in an RL or human data setting.

• Experience building and deploying AI agents in production.

• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable tools in production work.

• Full-stack experience with TypeScript and AWS is a plus.

• Experience with iOS, Swift, or React Native, or a startup background with a strong shipping cadence, is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $125,000 to $200,000 annually. OTE (on-target earnings, base plus variable) is $225,000 to $400,000, with variable compensation tied to company profits. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

On-site in San Francisco, California. This role is fully in person with a 5.5-day workweek and Sundays off. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
