Job summary

Lassie is seeking a Founding Recruiter to build the talent engine from the ground up and drive hiring across software engineering, GTM, and G&A. You will own the candidate journey from first touch to offer, partner with founders to define roles, and develop AI-native workflows to improve efficiency and decision quality.

You’ll shape the recruiting function, build pipelines, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience that mirrors Lassie’s ambition and values.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience and deep expertise in sourcing, assessing, and closing top talent.
• Experience mapping talent-dense networks, sourcing, and maintaining long-term relationships with top talent.
• Experience designing or building AI-native workflows for recruiting tasks, or a strong instinct for AI-assisted processes.

Responsibilities

• Build Lassie's talent acquisition engine from scratch: strategy, process, tools, metrics, reporting, and brand
• Own end-to-end recruiting across software engineering, GTM, and G&A
• Partner with the founders and early hiring managers to define role requirements (MOCs) and design interview plans
• Do initial screens, and manage candidates through every stage from first touch to offer close
• Build talent pipelines across multiple simultaneous searches
• Create and refine recruiting analytics (funnel health, conversion rates, time-to-hire metrics, and more)
• Represent Lassie externally through events, meetups, and outbound messaging to raise awareness among top talent
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and make sure every touchpoint reflects Lassie's values and ambition

About the role

As Founding Recruiter, you'll help build the team that builds Lassie. You'll own recruiting end to end: finding exceptional talent, creating an excellent candidate experience, partnering closely with hiring managers, and raising the bar of what great looks like.
