Ember AI in remote US (SF/Bay Area preferred) is hiring a Founding Product Manager to own our Enterprise Intelligence roadmap and customer relationships, working directly with co-founders Deb Liu and Qasim Salam. You’ll drive critical product decisions, prototype solutions, and guide deployments with law-firm customers.

You’ll join an experienced founding team, turning bespoke work into scalable product capabilities and shaping Ember’s growth as a founder-friendly AI company.

$180K–$250K base + meaningful equity, targeting ~0.5% for the right candidate

Help build the Enterprise Intelligence layer for the world’s leading law firms

Ember AI is building AI agents that run complex enterprise workflows.

We learn how an organization actually works, encode its best thinking into software, and deploy agents that execute the work. We’re starting with some of the world’s leading law firms, where workflows are complex, high-stakes, and especially well suited for AI.

We’ve already built significant early traction, including customers among the AmLaw 10, and reached profitability within our first six months.

Now we’re hiring our Founding Product Manager to own our most important customer relationships and help define the Enterprise Intelligence roadmap, working directly with co-founders Qasim Salam and Deb Liu.

If you want to eventually lead a product organization, build a company, or become a founder yourself, this is an accelerated path to learning what it takes to build and scale an AI company from the ground up.

Deb Liu was an early product leader at Meta, where she built and scaled Facebook Marketplace, before becoming CEO of Ancestry. She now serves on Intuit’s board.

Qasim Salam is a serial founder and former CEO of Remotebase.

You’ll work closely with both of them, our engineers, and senior partners at some of the largest law firms in the world.

What you’ll own

The Enterprise Intelligence roadmap.
Work directly with our founders and engineering team to decide what Ember builds next. You’ll use what you learn from leading law firms to identify the agent capabilities, integrations, workflows, and platform primitives that should become part of Ember’s core product.

Our most important customer relationships.
Own customer deployments end-to-end, from understanding how the work happens today through scoping, build, launch, adoption, and expansion. You’ll work with everyone from managing partners and C-suite executives to the people doing the work every day.

Getting to a working solution.
This is not a PM role where you write a spec and wait. You’ll configure agents, prototype solutions, work with APIs and data, troubleshoot integrations, and partner closely with engineering on harder technical problems.

Turning bespoke work into scalable product.
The real question isn’t just, “How do we solve this for this customer?” It’s, “What are we learning that Ember should build for every customer?” You’ll turn patterns from the field into reusable product capabilities and shape how we scale.

The product function itself.
You’re our founding PM. You’ll have the opportunity to shape not only what we build, but how the product gets built at Ember.

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for someone unusually strong at the intersection of product, customer, and technology.

You likely have 3–7 years of experience in product management, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a forward‑deployed role.

More importantly:

• You’re an AI-native builder. AI is already a fundamental part of how you work. You can show us agents, automations, prototypes, or software you’ve personally built.

• You’re technical and hands‑on. You’re comfortable with APIs, integrations, data, and workflow automation, and you can prototype and debug without always waiting for an engineer.

• You’re exceptional with customers. You can earn the trust of a managing law partner or C‑suite executive, uncover what they actually need, and communicate just as effectively with an engineer. You could probably be great at enterprise sales if you wanted to be.

• You turn ambiguity into action. You can walk into a messy customer problem, understand how the work actually happens, and translate it into a solution that ships.

• You think like a product builder. You naturally look for the scalable product hiding inside a one‑off customer request.

• You thrive in 0→1. You move quickly, take ownership, and don’t need someone else to write the playbook first.

Bonus points

• Former founder or early‑stage startup operator

• Experience as a forward‑deployed PM, engineer, or solutions lead

• Experience turning bespoke customer work into a scalable product capability

• Experience working directly with C‑suite executives, partners, or AmLaw 100 firms

• Hands‑on experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript, Zapier, n8n, Retool, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, ERP systems, or similar tools

• Experience in legal, financial services, supply chain, HR, compliance, or another complex operational environment

Compensation

Base salary: $180,000–$250,000
Equity: Meaningful ownership, with a target of approximately 0.5% for the right candidate

Final compensation will depend on experience, scope, and fit.

This is a rare point in the life of the company: early enough that the product and product function are still being invented, but far enough along that there are real customers, real revenue, and hard problems to solve.

You won’t inherit a roadmap.

You’ll help create it.
