Breakwater Initiative, a founding‑phase, AI‑native policy shop, seeks an Operations Manager reporting to the President. You will align finance, HR, IT, facilities, and legal/compliance with Breakwater’s growth path.

Qualifications

Five+ years in operations, finance, administration or similar.
Hands‑on experience across bookkeeping, HR, IT, contracts, and compliance.
Familiarity with fiscal sponsorship or nonprofit setup is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations and act as primary operations contact with the fiscal sponsor.
Manage onboarding, payroll, compensation and benefits integration with the sponsor.
Design and implement HR policies, IT systems, and data security protocols.
Draft and track contracts with consultants, vendors, and partners.
Support transition planning toward organizational independence and 501(c)(3)/501(c)(4) readiness.
Build internal knowledge systems and scalable processes.
