This research-oriented role focuses on modern ML challenges and problems where model quality directly impacts real-world therapies. You will collaborate closely with a wet lab to design, validate, and iterate data-driven approaches.

You will shape research direction, establish evaluation standards, and drive decisions on model design and training in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in modern machine learning and deep learning.
• Ability to reason about model architectures, training, evaluation, and tradeoffs.
• Experience designing and running model experiments with biological data.
• Comfort collaborating with wet-lab teams and domain experts.

Responsibilities

• Design and run model experiments against complex biological data.
• Help define the research roadmap for Tabula’s models to improve over time.
• Collaborate with the lab to shape data generation and rationale.
• Establish robust experimentation, evaluation, and reproducibility practices.
• Contribute to decisions on model design, training, and research direction.
• Help build an AI-first company delivering real therapies for patients.
