Autostep is building a data-driven AI platform that bridges human and machine intelligence. We are hiring two founding engineers to turn strong customer pull into repeatable, measurable outcomes with a focus on ML pipelines, desktop software, and rapid delivery.

You will work across machine learning, full-stack product, desktop systems, and customer engagements, shipping continually while clarifying and solving messy, incomplete requirements. This role demands ownership from day one.

Qualifications

• Shipped ML or software projects with measurable impact.
• Strong Python expertise.
• Ability to learn quickly and work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve our data + ML pipeline across accuracy, context, speed, evals, algorithms, agents, and cost.
• Ship new projects, product surfaces, UI, experiments, and features constantly.
• Improve our Mac/Windows desktop app across reliability, performance, deployment, and new capabilities.
• Work directly with customers to clarify messy requirements and environments, question assumptions, define the actual problem, and create value.
• Turn lessons from individual customers into repeatable product improvements for future deployments.
• Keep engineering organized with PRDs, Linear, documentation, tests, and deadlines.
• Use AI coding aggressively and understand what shipped and whether it works.
