Job summary

DeKalb Brilliance Academy, a tuition-free public charter school serving K–8, is seeking Lead Teachers to shape rigorous, culturally responsive instruction and help build our growing founding school.

As a Lead Teacher, you will design and facilitate standards-aligned lessons, collaborate with grade-level teams, and partner with families to support student growth in academics and social-emotional development.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia teaching certification required.
• Minimum two years teaching experience preferred (K-3, culturally-relevant PBL).
• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate rigorous, culturally responsive instruction across core subjects and SEL.
• Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to plan units and analyze student work.
• Communicate with families monthly about student progress via phone, email, or Dojo.
• Implement restorative practices to build community and equity.
• Participate in professional learning, coaching, and school initiatives.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities aligned with a growing founding school.
