Job summary

Triumph is seeking its first dedicated Infrastructure Engineer to build the foundation that everything else runs on. You’ll own CI/CD pipelines, Postgres tuning, and real-time observability for a platform touching gaming, finance, and social at scale.

This greenfield mandate means you set the standards, direct the infra strategy from day one, and scale the system to support ambitious growth from our Levi’s Plaza headquarters in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and scaling large production systems with ownership.
• Deep Postgres knowledge: indexing, planning, connections, scaling.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency with observability and telemetry tooling and knowing what to measure.
• Comfort being the first infra hire and setting direction, driving work to completion.
• Tenacity, pragmatism, and high agency to prioritize impactful work.

Responsibilities

• Establish infrastructure function: standards, tooling, practices for future hires.
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe shipping.
• Take end-to-end ownership of scaling backend systems and plan for 10x growth.
• Drive database strategy as a Postgres expert (planning, replication, read routing, health).
• Build observability/telemetry so the team can monitor in real time.
• Partner with backend engineers to harden systems and guide architectural decisions.
