Job summary

The Laurel at Calera, Sealy Management Company’s newest luxury apartment community in Calera, AL, seeks a founding Maintenance Technician to help open the property and establish maintenance standards from day one.

As the first-line maintenance professional, you will prepare homes, service essential systems, and support resident satisfaction while building a culture of responsiveness and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of apartment maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartment homes and amenities for the first residents.
• Ensure every apartment home meets Sealy Management's quality standards before move-in.
• Build a maintenance culture centered on responsiveness, professionalism, and resident satisfaction.
• Complete service requests promptly and professionally.
• Prepare apartment homes for new residents.
• Maintain all building systems, HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and amenities.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance.
