Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible General (Non-Invasive) Cardiologist to join the team at the new Wellstar Columbia County Hospital. The role focuses on comprehensive outpatient and inpatient cardiology services and building a state-of-the-art program in a growing region.

The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO, an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, board certification/eligibility, and eligibility for Georgia licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease
• Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient general cardiology services
• Interpret non-invasive studies including: Echocardiography Stress testing EKG and Holter monitoring
• Participate in hospital rounding and consults
• Share call responsibilities with other cardiologists in the region
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including advanced practice providers, electrophysiologists, and interventional cardiologists
• Help build and shape the cardiology service line at a new, state-of-the-art hospital
