Founding Fullstack Engineer (Manhattan, YC Start-up)

Location: Manhattan, New York (Onsite x5 days)

Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr

About the Role

Our client is tackling one of the biggest unsolved problems in technology: fully automating data transformation and modeling. Their AI-driven approach is revolutionising how data flows between systems, eliminating silos, and making seamless connectivity a reality.

As a Founding Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and optimising our data-intensive platform. You’ll work across the entire stack, focusing on the frontend, designing and implementing customer-facing features while optimising performance and scalability. You’ll also work closely with the founding team, shaping product direction and taking ownership of mission-critical projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and optimising distributed, scalable systems for handling large datasets with minimal latency.
• Architecting and implementing customer-facing features, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Identifying performance bottlenecks in areas like storage, scalability, and processing speed—and fixing them.
• Collaborating directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into intuitive workflows.
• Working alongside the founders to shape the product roadmap and help scale the engineering team.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Experience deploying data-intensive web applications in a production environment.
• A problem-solving mindset—you know when to use off-the-shelf solutions and when to build from scratch.
• A willingness to take ownership, iterate quickly, and contribute ideas that push the product forward.
• Strong communication skills—you’re comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a highly collaborative environment.
