Job summary

Docebo is seeking a founding member for a Forward Deployed Engineering team to bridge enterprise learning workflows with autonomous AI agents. You will partner with large customers to shape the product, influence tech direction, and own the build-from-scratch initiative.

You will design and deploy agentic AI applications, define operating rituals, and translate customer needs into scalable platform improvements. This role suits bold problem-solvers who thrive in ambiguity and ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade full-stack software.
• Prior experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI and LLM-powered applications in production.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and modern backend development.
• Strong architectural background across distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM provider ecosystems.
• Comfort with extreme ambiguity and a founder-style bias for ownership, fast prototyping, and high-stakes decisions.
• Familiarity with modern engineering tooling such as GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi-LLM orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy custom AI agents that integrate with customer systems and the company's agent hub.
• Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through production deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Translate hands-on customer work into reusable platform enhancements that scale beyond a single deployment.
• Define and document the operating rituals, technical roadmap, and cross-functional structure of a brand-new team.
• Act as a trusted technical partner to enterprise stakeholders, translating between customer needs and platform capabilities.

A founding seat on a new Forward Deployed Engineering team at an AI-powered learning platform, sitting at the intersection of agentic AI and real customer impact. The role partners directly with enterprise customers to convert complex learning and development workflows into autonomous AI agents, while simultaneously shaping the playbook, culture, and technical direction of the function from scratch.
