Building AI-powered workflows and agentic systems with LLMs and orchestration frameworks; hands-on prompt engineering and production AI work.
About the Role
Staff Forward Deployed Engineer who embeds with business teams to design, build, and ship AI-powered workflows into production that increase efficiency and scale across the company. The role combines hands-on software engineering with applied LLM/agent work to turn team-specific solutions into reusable capabilities that drive measurable business outcomes.

Role
We are hiring a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with cross-functional teams and build AI-powered workflows that make teams faster and more effective. You will work at the boundary between an internal AI platform and business domains, shipping production systems and converting team-specific wins into reusable capabilities for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed with a function to learn day-to-day workflows and surface pain points related to time, handoffs, rework, and manual effort.
- Map existing workflows and prioritize where AI can deliver the most value.
- Design, implement, and ship production AI-powered workflows, measuring outcomes by business impact (revenue, cost, cycle time, manual work reduction).
- Scale proven solutions into reusable capabilities across the organization.
- Collaborate across technical and business teams; produce documentation and findings actionable for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on coding skills and experience delivering production systems across complex codebases.
- Strong Python plus backend or full-stack depth in one or more of: Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Go, React, TypeScript, or mobile platforms.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and SQL.
- Working knowledge of LLMs and agentic patterns, including prompt engineering, tool use, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context management, evaluation/observability, and agent orchestration with frameworks like MCP or LangChain.
- Ability to get productive quickly in unfamiliar codebases and domains.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have
- Experience extracting structure from unstructured data (transcripts, documents, conversations) with LLMs.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tooling (n8n, Zapier, Temporal).
- Familiarity with process mining or workflow analysis (event logs, process discovery, BPMN).
What success looks like
- Shipping production systems that materially improve partner outcomes.
- Turning prototypes into maintainable, scalable capabilities used across teams.
- Measurable business impact (revenue, cost savings, cycle time reduction, elimination of manual work).
Benefits (highlights)
- Competitive salary and equity compensation
- Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
- Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision, plus parental leave
- Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
- 401(k) with employer matching
