Job summary

True Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a founding Forward Deployed Engineer to work with enterprise customers, deploying AI agents to production and iterating on the platform based on field learnings.

You will own technical deployments, collaborate with GTM teams, and refine evaluations with real customer data to prove value and drive adoption in a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA.

About the Role

Join an early-stage AI customer success software team as its founding Forward Deployed Engineer. You will work directly with enterprise customers to put AI agents into production, demonstrate value, and turn what you learn into improvements to the core platform.

What You'll Do

• Work with customers to understand their onboarding, adoption, and renewal workflows, then identify where AI agents can help.

• Configure and deploy agents using customer data sources, business systems, identity tools, and integrations.

• Build and refine evaluations using real customer data to validate agent quality before launch.

• Partner with go-to-market teams on technical discovery, customer activation, and account growth.

• Bring field learnings back to the product and improve platform capabilities where needed.

• Debug production deployments, investigate root causes, and expand solutions after proving initial value.

What We're Looking For

• Three to seven years of experience in customer-facing software engineering, forward deployed engineering, or solutions engineering.

• Experience owning technical customer deployments and rollouts, ideally in an early-stage or high-growth startup.

• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM agents with customers, including prompts, evaluations, and complex, long-running workflows.

• Strong Python and FastAPI backend skills, React frontend experience, and familiarity with PostgreSQL, RAG, CI/CD, and agent frameworks.

• Strong computer science fundamentals and evidence of career growth and progression.

• Experience working in a hybrid, customer-facing environment is valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $180,000 to $230,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.
