Job description

Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies make rockets, jets, and satellites 10x faster and 2x cheaper. Our CEO, Chris Power, discusses the importance of what we're building in this video.

We are a lean but mighty team (and growing!) people that are passionate about building critical infrastructure to support the nation and the advancement of humanity.

We've raised >$200m to achieve this vision, with multiple rounds from Lux Capital, A16Z, Founders Fund, Construct Capital, Caffeinated Capital and more.

We use AI and Robotics to automate and scale factories that are globally cost competitive and future-proof from the dramatic skilled labor shortage that is facing the Advanced Industrial Base.

Hadrian works with startups, Primes and Tier 1/2s in all markets to cost-down, scale or otherwise enable them to hit production rates on critical programs in Rocketry, Satellites, Shipbuilding, Commercial and Military aircraft and other core, mission critical industries.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong Organizational Skills - Hire will need to be able to manage flows of customer information (RFQs, POs, SDRs, OORs) and ensure that everything is processed and responded to by deadlines.

  • Strong Communication Skills - Hire will need to be able to disseminate information frequently to internal and external stakeholders. They will be a primary point of contact externally so they will need to remain composed in stressful situations and articulate at distilling information.

  • Understanding of Manufacturing - Hire will be expected to come in relatively quickly and take on responsibilities (within 2-3 weeks). They should have a background working in manufacturing environments to the extent that they understand the processes performed by Hadrian, how work gets done, and the constraints/parameters of manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to Use Basic Software Tools - Hire will need to operate proficiently in Excel, Powerpoint, Flow, and Airtable. While they do not need to know how to develop software or have experience with non-Microsoft Office tools, the expectation is they can functionally use a new tool within a week and be highly proficient within a month. Should be able to make external-facing caliber documents and process data within Office tools on day 1.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for managing day-to-day communications with customers on operational statuses of products in production

  • Responsible for managing several small-to-medium sized projects in cross-functional teams pertaining to new product introduction and new process creation

  • Ensure that customer information is being internally processed in a timely manner and that deadlines are being met

  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations and takes initiative to identify and resolve operational problems

  • Ability to understand how day-to-day operational tasks lead up into metric goals

  • Part-time travel to client sites, when needed

What will set you apart:

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams - Part of the role will entail working with other departments to get projects finished. Experience in this regard will allow the hire to take on a larger scope of work earlier on.

  • Prior Aerospace Machining Experience - Understanding aerospace machining processes will expedite their ability to fully grasp the role and better understand the context of our work

  • Experience with finances/business metrics - The ability to understand Hadrian’s growth goals and tie that into the work they are managing for a customer would be helpful in them to craft strategy and manage the quoting process.

Benefits:

• 100% coverage of platinum medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees

• 401k

• Relocation stipend if you’re moving from outside of LA

• Flexible vacation policy
