Job summary

Kabilah is hiring a Founding Engineer (Product) to build software nurses rely on across shifts. You'll design production systems that run in safety-critical settings and deliver seamless experiences on mobile and web.

As one of the first engineers, you set technical direction, partner with hospital leaders, and translate real-world feedback into product improvements. You will work across frontend, backend, and mobile, shaping the engineering culture from day one.

• 1+ year of experience building production software.
• Experience building modern web or mobile apps used by real customers.
• Experience with modern application frameworks and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to travel periodically to customer sites and company offsites.

We're hiring a Founding Engineer (Product) to build the software that nurses rely on throughout every shift. You'll design and build production software that operates in safety-critical settings, creating seamless user experiences across mobile, web, and clinical integrations. Every feature you ship will directly impact how nurses communicate, document care, and coordinate with their teams.

As one of our first engineers

As one of our first engineers, you'll help define our technical direction, product architecture, and engineering culture from the ground up. You'll also work directly with hospital executives, nurse leaders, and frontline clinicians to understand their workflows, validate new capabilities, and rapidly turn real-world feedback into product improvements.

What You'll Do

• Build the products and user experiences powering Kabilah's nursing workflows.
• Design and ship intuitive, high-quality mobile and web applications used by clinicians every day.
• Own product architecture, performance, reliability, and user experience across the platform.
• Build integrations with clinical systems and ensure seamless experiences across healthcare environments.
• Partner directly with hospital executives, unit managers, and bedside nurses to understand clinical workflows, demo new capabilities, and rapidly iterate on the product.

• Exceptional software engineering skills and experience building production systems.
• Strong product intuition and an eye for thoughtful, polished user experiences.
• Ability to take complex customer problems and turn them into simple, elegant software.
• Comfort working across frontend, backend, mobile, and product engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical teams and healthcare customers.
