Job summary

davidjoseph-co is seeking a founding engineer in New York, NY to take full ownership of a core product domain and ship to production daily with a small, high-velocity team. You’ll own architecture, engage directly with customers, and drive multi-modal voice/SMS/email agents from concept to deployment.

This is a high-ownership, on-site role at an early-stage company. You will work across the stack using TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, and Python, with access to modern AI SDKs.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Track record shipping a product from zero to one.
• Strong command of TypeScript across the stack.
• Comfortable owning product decisions without a PM.
• Hands-on depth in voice/SMS or agent tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own a core product domain end-to-end.
• Talk directly to customers and ship work yourself.
• Build and tune multi-modal agents for low latency and strong response rates.
• Set architecture and quality bar for non-deterministic systems.
• Work across the full stack: React/Next.js to Node.js and Python pipelines.
