Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Internal Fraud Platform in the United States (Austin, TX) with global scope. You will build and operate the fraud data pipelines and services, delivering signals for scoring and enabling analysts to investigate cases.

You will partner with data scientists to deploy models, own critical end-to-end initiatives, and drive architecture decisions while maintaining system reliability and security. Equity benefits available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or data platforms.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems in production.
• Designing and building data pipelines (Kafka, Pub/Sub) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, security, and API standards.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Able to own projects end to end with limited guidance.

Responsibilities

• Build the Internal Fraud Platform services and pipelines ingesting events from internal systems.
• Deliver signals for scoring; integrate model decisions into pipelines and tools.
• Create internal investigation tooling for analysts and case management.
• Own projects end-to-end from definition to rollout with minimal oversight.
• Ensure reliability, fault tolerance, and health of systems under high load.
• Help shape architecture, tooling, and engineering standards as an early team member.
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety, Data Science, Billing/Fintech, Support, and Product teams.
