Job summary

SubImage is seeking an engineering-driven security specialist to triage vulnerabilities, map our environment, and validate fixes from autonomous agents. You’ll work on near-real-time security graphs, improving the safety of fixes while expanding our platform for growth.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, strong systems thinking, and hands-on collaboration with a small, fast-moving team in the SF Bay Area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience at high growth companies.
• Strong experience in distributed systems and cloud tech.
• You are based in the SF Bay Area and want to work in-person, in-office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Triage and contextualize security vulnerabilities and assess impact across assets.
• Build a near-real-time, self-updating map of the environment to observe and stop attacks as they happen.
• Ensure proposed fixes from agents are safe and won’t break existing systems or workflows.
• Determine resource ownership using environment actions, tags, and logs.
• Help track and manage vulnerability management and compliance processes.
