Jack is recruiting a Founding Engineer for a seed-stage NYC startup building AI agents that complete real online checkouts. The goal is to let any platform sell anything from any merchant with minimal integration, piloted with major players in payments and infrastructure.

You\'d reverse engineer checkout on merchant sites with agents that make purchases, learn, and adapt when sites change or defenses trigger.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years building production software as a backend or full-stack engineer
• Time at a VC-backed startup or a fast-moving, well-regarded company
• Side projects you built and shipped on your own
• Bonus: you\'ve built sneaker, ticket or retail checkout bots, restock monitors, scrapers at scale, or messed with proxies, captchas and anti-bot systems

We\'re recruiting a Founding Engineer for a seed-stage NYC startup building AI agents that complete real online checkouts. The idea: any platform can sell anything from any merchant, with barely any integration work. They already have signed pilots with big names in payments and infrastructure, and the founding team comes from top startups and big tech.

You\'d be reverse engineering checkout on merchant sites across the internet, with agents that make real purchases, learn, and fix themselves when a site changes overnight or throws up anti-bot defenses.

What you\'d own:

• Backend systems for payments, checkout and product catalogs
• The checkout agents, end to end
• Keeping those agents working against anti-bot and anti-fraud systems
• Early hiring and culture as one of the first engineers

You\'re probably a fit if you have:

• 1-4 years building production software as a backend or full-stack engineer
• Time at a VC-backed startup or a fast-moving, well-regarded company
• Side projects you built and shipped on your own

Who this isn\'t for:

• Folks with only big-company experience
• Senior people who don\'t want to be hands-on ICs
• Frontend-only or data engineering backgrounds
• Current students, interns or co-ops
• Anyone who isn\'t up for 5 days a week in the NYC office at a 60-70 hour pace

Pay: $120K to $200K base plus 0.5% to 2% equity.
