Job description

We are hiring our first engineer to deploy our core product, ReliaPlay, across a growing set of pilot customers. ReliaPlay enables smooth real-time video communication for robots and drones over degraded networks. You will work on the layer between ReliaPlay's forward error correction (FEC) core and the customer's hardware, focusing on video pipeline integration, release packaging, and deployment support.

Customers bring combinations of hardware, software, and network environments, and getting ReliaPlay integrated across all of them is the core engineering challenge. Some weeks you are diagnosing a video pipeline on an unfamiliar embedded platform. Other weeks you are building the installer that makes that work unnecessary for the next customer.

You will have real ownership over the product's deployment architecture and as our first engineer, you'll help shape how we refine, test, deploy, and support the product from the ground up.

Why Join

ReliaPlay is built on a patented FEC algorithm that is field-deployed. The engineering problems are pushing the boundaries in this space and involve latency-sensitive video pipelines, multi-platform release engineering across Jetson, Raspberry Pi, Android, etc., and field debugging on systems where packet loss is a fact of life.

The role provides technical ownership and customer-facing deployment experience. You'll have room to make decisions, try things, and see results quickly. The work involves hard problems with real stakes, with impact you'll see in the field. This is a chance to join on the ground floor as the first hire helping to build our engineering foundation.

About Treseder AI

Treseder AI is solving one of the most persistent problems in robotics, drones, and other unmanned systems: video that freezes or times out waiting for retransmits once a link starts experiencing packet loss. Packet loss is commonplace across SATCOM, mesh radios, and cellular links, leading to frozen frames during teleoperation, delayed inference at the edge, and degraded situational awareness when it matters most.

Our core product, ReliaPlay, recovers from packet loss with better bandwidth efficiency than conventional alternatives, delivering 10.9x fewer video freeze events with configurable tail latency. ReliaPlay is live with pilot customers across defense and physical AI and is pushing the frontier of communication quality.

The Stack

  • C++ FEC library

  • Python scripts to launch sender and receiver

  • Docker for ARM64 builds targeting Jetson family and Raspberry Pi, native builds for x86

  • Compatible with common customer stacks like:

  • RTP for video transport

  • QGroundControl on the receiver side

What You'll Do:

Customer-Facing integration and field support

  • Work directly with pilot customers to integrate ReliaPlay into existing video pipelines on systems like Jetson family, Raspberry Pi, ARM-based embedded Linux, and Android, and then validate that video is stable in their environments.

  • Diagnose and address integration issues at the network, pipeline, or FEC layer.

Codebase development and platform tooling

  • Develop and refactor the arm64 build pipeline across Jetson, Raspberry Pi, and Android NDK.

  • Expand platform support to new hardware targets and OS configurations as the customer base grows.

  • Automate the installation process for ReliaPlay and improve the Python orchestration layer, such as with deployment scripts, remote sender/receiver control, log collection and analysis tooling.

  • As the role evolves, you'll have opportunities to contribute to video pipeline features.

What We're Looking For:

Required

  • Proficient with Linux-based operating systems and ability to learn new embedded environments

  • Networking fundamentals: working knowledge of UDP, packet loss, jitter buffers, and MTU; can read a packet capture and understand what happened

  • Python proficiency: able to write, modify, debug, and maintain deployment scripts

  • C++ literacy: can read and understand existing C++ library

Preferred

  • Experience with real time video communication frameworks such as GStreamer, RTP-based stacks, WebRTC, or similar

  • Embedded Linux deployment on Jetson or Raspberry Pi

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent)

We value

  • Scrappiness and resourcefulness: you can make progress by thinking about new technical tools and approaches to address constraints that customers face.

  • A bias toward action: you like shipping, testing in the real world, and iterating quickly.

  • Curiosity: you're willing to dig into an unfamiliar codebase, hardware platform, or network stack until you understand what's actually happening.

  • Collaboration: you're excited to work together with the team and our customers to build communication systems that work in the most challenging environments

  • Comfort with ambiguity: you're excited by the fact that we're building things for the first time and there isn't always an existing playbook.

Compensation

$120,000–$140,000 base salary plus 0.5%–1.5% equity, with final compensation determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
