Job summary

Wedoe Search Group is seeking a Staff / Founding Software Engineer to join a remote, full-time team building a fast-growing B2B SaaS product. You will influence product direction, architecture decisions, and engineering culture from day one, with ownership of meaningful technical areas and high-impact projects.

You’ll work closely with founders and customers to shape scalable systems, expand capabilities across the stack, and mentor engineers while balancing speed, quality, and reliability.

Remote | Full-Time | $180K–$240K Base + Meaningful Equity

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed B2B SaaS company looking to add a Staff / Founding Software Engineer to its early engineering team.

This is not a narrowly defined “take tickets and ship features” engineering role. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the product, architecture, engineering culture, and technical direction of a company still early enough that your decisions will have a lasting impact.

What You’ll Do

• Own major areas of the product from architecture through production


• Design and build scalable, reliable systems used by enterprise customers


• Work directly with founders, product, and customers to turn complex problems into simple products


• Make key architectural and technology decisions as the platform scales


• Build new product capabilities across the stack


• Help establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices


• Mentor other engineers and influence future engineering hires


• Move quickly while balancing speed, scalability, and technical quality

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience


• Strong experience building and scaling modern B2B SaaS products


• Track record operating at the Staff, Principal, Founding Engineer, or senior technical lead level


• Strong backend and systems architecture skills with the ability to work across the stack


• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment where you’ve had significant ownership


• Comfortable working through ambiguity without requiring a large amount of structure


• Strong product instincts — you think beyond the code and understand the customer problem


• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

You don’t need to check every box, but experience with a modern stack similar to the following is ideal:

Frontend: React, TypeScript

APIs: REST, GraphQL, third‑party integrations

AI: LLM APIs, AI‑assisted development tools, RAG / agentic workflows

DevOps: CI/CD, observability, automated testing, cloud infrastructure

Compensation will depend on experience, technical depth, and level.
