Job summary

Searchability is an early-stage technology startup in Miami seeking a Founding Engineer to build and scale its product from the ground up. You will own the technical direction and collaborate directly with the founders.

You'll work across frontend, backend and infrastructure, shaping architecture, deploying systems and integrating AI features in a fast-paced, founder-led environment. This is a rare chance to influence product strategy, recruit future engineers and share in the company's growth

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software engineering experience, ideally in a startup.
• Experience with React, Next.js, Node.js or FastAPI.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and system architecture.
• Experience delivering end-to-end products.
• Comfortable across frontend, backend and infrastructure.
• Interest in AI/LLMs and automation.
• Product-focused mindset with independent decision-making.
• Based in Miami or within commuting distance with hybrid work.

Searchability is recruiting for an ambitious, early-stage technology startup in Miami looking to hire a Founding Engineer to help build and scale its product from the ground up.

This is an opportunity to join at the earliest stages, work directly with the founders and take genuine ownership of the technical direction, architecture and development of a high-growth technology business.

We're looking for an engineer who loves building, thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to make a real impact rather than simply contribute to an existing codebase.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop and launch products from concept through to production.

What We're Looking For

• Experience building and shipping products end-to-end.
• Comfortable working across frontend, backend and infrastructure.
• Interest in AI, LLMs, automation and emerging technologies.
• A product-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and make technical decisions.
• Based in Miami or within commuting distance and comfortable with hybrid working.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as a Founding Engineer or early engineering hire.
• Experience building AI-native products, LLM applications or autonomous agents.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes or CI/CD.
• Experience taking a product from 0 to 1.
• Previous entrepreneurial experience or personal products launched.
