Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Dunwoody, Georgia seeks a qualified Emergency Veterinary Technician to join a founding team opening Oct 2026. You will provide advanced nursing care for emergency and critical patients alongside veterinarians and specialty teams.

This role offers opportunities to shape workflows, participate in patient rounds, document care, and grow through continuing education and mentorship as our hospital launches.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Experience in Emergency, Critical Care, Specialty Medicine, Surgery, or high-volume General Practice.
• Strong foundation in: Veterinary nursing, Patient monitoring, Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, Medication administration, Anesthesia monitoring, Client communication

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing support for emergency and critical patients alongside veterinarians and specialty teams.
• Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Administer medications via IV, IM, and SQ; manage fluids and CRIs.
• Assist with sedation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery.
• Document medical records and support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, emergency clinicians, and specialty teams.
