Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Lakewood Ranch, FL, seeks a visionary Program Director to lead the development of a new Emergency Medicine residency. The role will shepherd the ACGME accreditation process and build a premier academic environment on Florida’s West Coast.

The position begins as a consulting role through accreditation and transitions to a .5 FTE Program Director, with the remainder of time devoted to clinical Emergency Medicine practice in a thriving community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Passion for resident education and development of a high-quality program.
• Strong background in graduate medical education and accreditation processes.
• Minimum three years of leadership experience in an ACGME-accredited residency.

Responsibilities

• Founding Program Director for a new Emergency Medicine residency program (Lakewood Ranch).
• Lead the ACGME application and accreditation process for the program.
• Design program structure, curriculum, and educational strategy.
• .5 FTE administrative leadership with clinical Emergency Medicine practice.
• Coordinate funding, resources, and scholarly activity for GME leadership.
