Working collaboratively with the President, Provost, University leadership, faculty, trustees, and healthcare partners, the Founding Dean will create a School distinguished by academic excellence, innovation, student success, outstanding clinical preparation, and meaningful community engagement.

The Founding Dean will recruit the founding faculty, lead the School through NYSED approval and initial CCNE accreditation, establish enduring healthcare partnerships, guide development of a state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation and Experiential Learning Center, and create innovative academic programs that prepare exceptional nurses who will become the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Manhattan University is a leading Lasallian Catholic university located in the historic Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York. It has a long and distinguished history of instilling in students the knowledge, skills, and wisdom necessary for successful lives of authenticity and meaning.

An earned PhD in nursing or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required along with academic credentials and scholarly accomplishments appropriate for appointment at the rank of professor. A current, unencumbered New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse, or eligibility to obtain such licensure promptly upon appointment, is also required.

The salary range for this position will be $300,000-$325,000 annually.
