Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is seeking a founding-level engineer for a Series A cloud infrastructure company. You will build software to deploy and manage applications across cloud environments, spanning infrastructure engineering and direct customer problem-solving.

You will own projects from design to production, debug complex systems, and collaborate with customers to shape product decisions in two-week cycles.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience building products in startup environments.
• Experience shipping products end to end and owning systems in production.
• Hands-on infrastructure experience or strong generalist skills in cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to debug complex systems under pressure using shell access and log analysis.
• High agency and comfort working without established playbooks or processes.
• Experience with networking, Kubernetes, distributed systems, or cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build production-grade software across cloud infrastructure surfaces.
• Own projects from architectural design through implementation and production deployment.
• Debug complex systems, including investigating virtual machines, logs, and third-party open-source dependencies.
• Work directly with customers to resolve infrastructure problems and inform product decisions.
• Propose and drive projects in two-week cycles, collaborating with the team on technical challenges.
