Job summary

A.T. Still University is seeking a Founding Department Chair and Program Director to provide full-time academic and administrative leadership for the BSN program in San Luis Obispo.

This role includes BRN approval, CCNE accreditation, curriculum development, and ongoing program governance. The candidate will supervise faculty and staff, drive budget planning, and ensure regulatory compliance, outcomes measurement, and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in nursing (DNP or PhD) required.
• Active California RN license and BRN approval as Program Director required.
• Administrative experience leading nursing education, accreditation, and program development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, BRN approval, CCNE accreditation, and ongoing operation of the BSN program.
• Oversee curriculum, student outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage program budget and resource planning.
