Job summary

Proto is seeking a founding engineer to own the backend and quantitative systems powering our prediction market products. This hands-on role requires moving between architecture, implementation, research, and production operations, with meaningful influence over both product and the engineering organization.

You will work closely with the founders and researchers to ship production-ready features, leveraging Web3/crypto experience and a bias toward robust, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Founding-engineer mindset with high ownership and pragmatic approach.
• Strong backend engineering and system design fundamentals.
• Experience building reliable, scalable, data-intensive systems.
• Quantitative or research-oriented ability in trading/finance.
• 3+ years of web3/crypto development.
• 4+ years of professional engineering experience.
