Job summary

Albert Bow is seeking a Founding Engineer in New York to build the core trading infrastructure for prediction markets. This greenfield role focuses on low-latency execution, venue connectivity, and end-to-end system ownership, written from scratch in C++.

You will work directly with the founders to decide what gets built, own standards and tooling, and help shape the architecture as the team grows. This is the first engineering hire for the company.

Qualifications

• Background at a top quantitative trading firm (Jane Street, Optiver, XTX, Old Mission or similar tier).
• Solid grasp of market microstructure and how live trading systems behave under load.
• A bias toward reliability over raw speed: you build things that don't break.
• Comfortable being the first engineer and owning a system end to end.
• Modern C++.
• Low-latency execution and market-connectivity systems.
• Market data and exchange/venue integration.
• Distributed, high-throughput infrastructure.

Founding Engineer | New York, NY | Up to $200,000 + equity | On-site, 5 days/week

A stealth, well-funded fintech building institutional-grade infrastructure for prediction markets, one of the most interesting new asset classes to emerge in years. Their seed round recently closed and was oversubscribed. This is their first engineering hire.

About the role

Build the core systems that let institutions trade prediction markets at scale. Fully greenfield: low-latency execution, venue connectivity, and the infrastructure around it, designed and built from scratch in C++. You'll work directly with the founders on what gets built and in what order, and own the standards, tooling, and architecture the team grows into.
