Job summary

Clipbook, Inc. is building AI-powered media monitoring tools for PR teams, and we’re looking for an engineer to join a small, highly capable team of builders.

As one of the first engineers, you’ll shape architecture, own core backend services (Python/Node.js, PostgreSQL), and design scalable data pipelines for multi-modal data across text, audio, and video. You’ll work closely with customers to iterate quickly and influence engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 2–10+ years building and scaling production backend systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD.
• Ownership mindset and fast ship culture.
• Ability to work in an early-stage startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect & build core backend systems across Python/Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Design scalable data infrastructure for multi-modal datasets.
• Integrate AI into workflows with RAG pipelines, embeddings, and tuning.
• Develop robust APIs and services powering the product.
• Collaborate with customers and iterate on feedback.
• Shape engineering culture and leadership as the team grows.
