Job summary

A YC-backed startup is building an AI operating system for commercial lending. We are hiring 3 founding engineers to own end-to-end features from the borrower portal to live data reconciliation.

You’ll work on production-grade backend and infra, computer vision for financial statements, and turning customer conversations into product improvements. Expect regular customer visits and a fast-paced, highly technical environment in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years as a professional engineer with startup experience.
• Strong backend and infra skills with AI/ML or agent systems in production.
• Clear, to-the-point communication; happy to sit with customers and travel monthly.
• Claude, Cursor or Codex as part of your everyday workflow.
• Background that makes people stop and look twice; willingness to relocate to SF.

Responsibilities

• A production agent from start to finish, probably beginning with the portal borrowers use.
• Computer vision and parsing that read financial statements, and live reconciliation when the numbers disagree.
• The backend and infra that get the product from pilot to scale.
• Time with customers at their offices, and turning those conversations directly into product.
