Evenly is a healthcare technology company in Bethesda, Maryland. As the AI Product Engineer, you will be the first engineering hire on a new product initiative, owning product collaboration, architecture planning, and development from concept to rollout.

You will inherit a working platform in daily use today, take ownership, harden it, and drive it much further with direct contact to users and leadership alignment on the roadmap and priorities.

Qualifications

• This role requires ownership of product outcomes and decisions.
• Proven ability to turn business goals into shipped features.
• Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Prefer experience with AI-assisted development and healthcare contexts.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end architecture, development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
• Mature an AI-generated codebase into production-grade software with CI/CD, observability, security, and reliability improvements.
• Build integrations with third-party systems including messaging, payments, and healthcare APIs.
• Develop AI-powered product features using modern LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluations.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure security of software handling patient data.
• Work directly with users to translate feedback into product improvements.
