Job summary

Legal Chain is seeking an ambitious AI/ML Engineer to work directly with the Founding Engineer and CTO, building foundational generative AI architectures for the legal tech space.

You will design and deploy domain-specific LLMs, RAG systems, and ML pipelines, optimizing latency and throughput while shaping core engineering standards from the ground up. Equity-based compensation reflects early-stage ownership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and deploying ML models and LLM-powered apps into production.
• Strong Python and AI/ML framework skills (PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex).
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and context-window optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy domain-specific LLMs and ML pipelines with the CTO.
• Build RAG systems, document processing agents, and automated verification loops.
