Legal Chain is seeking an ambitious AI/ML Engineer to work directly with the Founding Engineer and CTO, building foundational generative AI architectures for the legal tech space.

You will design and deploy domain-specific LLMs, RAG systems, and ML pipelines, optimizing latency and throughput while shaping core engineering standards from the ground up. Equity-based compensation reflects early-stage ownership.

Formación

• Proven experience building and deploying ML models and LLM-powered apps into production.
• Strong Python and AI/ML framework skills (PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex).
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and context-window optimization.

We’re hiring our next core technical hire at Legal Chain. We are looking for an ambitious, builder-minded AI/ML Engineer to work directly alongside our Founding Engineer and CTO, building foundational generative AI and machine learning architectures transforming the legal tech ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Work directly with our CTO to design, train, fine-tune, and deploy domain-specific LLMs and ML pipelines for complex legal workflows.
• Build advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, document processing agents, and automated verification loops.
• Optimize model latency, token economy, and inference throughput in production.
• Help define our core engineering culture and architectural standards from the ground up.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience building and deploying machine learning models and LLM-powered applications into production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex, vLLM, etc.).
• Deep understanding of RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and context-window optimization.
• A true builder mindset: thrives in high-autonomy, early-stage startup environments where ownership and speed matter.
• Based in the United States (authorized to work in the US).

Compensation

Equity-based, with significant founding-stage equity ownership.
