Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a technical, hands-on manager to lead a new early-career engineering team in the Rochester, NY area. You'll shape the team and its technical direction, working across real AI Labs projects from day one. This role reports to the Director for AI Labs.

You'll mentor engineers, drive growth opportunities, source local talent, and partner with local universities to build a repeatable early-career pipeline while delivering secure, scalable AI-enabled solutions.

• Led and mentored engineers, especially early-career talent.

• Hands-on, comfortable across multiple stacks and domains.
• Experience with .NET/C# and cloud-based AWS architecture.
