Job summary

Etched is building hardware for frontier intelligence and seeks a founding Communications team member to produce deeply researched technical writing about AI, inference, compute, and infrastructure. You will work with engineers and leadership to develop original viewpoints, explain complex ideas, and write pieces for technical audiences across long-form analysis, product launches, and customer stories.

You will ghostwrite for leadership, turn insights into compelling arguments, and help define

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing ability to explain complex technical subjects.
• Experience producing substantive long-form writing, research, or rigorous analysis.
• Strong research skills to develop original arguments from technical data and primary sources.
• Technical aptitude to understand AI models, inference, accelerators, systems, and infrastructure.
• Ability to interview engineers and subject matter experts and extract key insights.
• High editorial standards for clear, publishable content.

Responsibilities

• Research and write long-form technical pieces on AI, inference, compute, chips, systems, and infrastructure.
• Develop original points of view on major AI developments.
• Analyze model releases and industry events to identify relevant topics for Etched.
• Own writing for product launches, technical announcements, and company milestones.
• Ghostwrite pieces for Etched leadership.
• Work with engineers to translate data and insights into compelling narratives.
• Create customer case studies and technical briefs.
• Produce content for X and other channels to reach engineers, researchers, customers, and candidates.
• Develop charts, diagrams, benchmarks, and visuals to strengthen arguments.
• Identify timely stories and ideas for Etched to write about.
• Help establish a recognizable point of view and writing standards across Etched.
