Job summary

Mason AI is seeking a Founding AI Engineer in California to improve the accuracy of multimodal agents that verify building plans against building codes. You will conduct rapid experiments, prototype new approaches, and own critical components of the product.

In-person collaboration and ownership are essential as we shape the built environment. You will work across computer vision, data tooling, and internal tooling, with weekly user feedback to iterate on real-world use cases and safety

Qualifications

• ML/AI Engineer with growth mindset and interest in applied AI
• Prototyping quickly and turning ideas into tests
• Ability to design and run experiments to test hypotheses
• Strong ownership, ability to navigate ambiguity and unblock yourself
• Curiosity about building codes and architectural diagrams

Responsibilities

• Improve the accuracy of multimodal agents that check blueprints for building code compliance.
• Talk to users and test the product weekly.
• Tackle tasks from computer vision experiments to data tooling and internal tooling as needed
