Job summary

xFigura in Boston is seeking a Founding Engineer to work directly with the CEO and Head of R&D to build the core systems behind an AI-native design platform used by architecture firms, designers, and universities.

The role focuses on foundational work: orchestrating generative models, powering collaborative canvas tooling, integrating with CAD ecosystems, and shaping platform architecture for scalable growth. You will own end-to-end systems from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping full production systems end-to-end.
• Production experience with AI/ML systems.
• Highly effective use of AI development tools.
• Comfort operating with autonomy and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features and systems end-to-end.
• Architect scalable frontend and backend infrastructure.
• Contribute to AI workflow orchestration pipelines.
• Develop canvas tooling and integrations with design software.
• Collaborate directly with users to translate workflows into systems.
• Ship quickly with iterative improvement.
