Job summary
Appalachian Drilling Company is seeking a hardworking Construction Laborer to join the deep foundations team. You will support drill rig operators and crew in excavation and construction of large diameter drilled shafts for commercial and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities include site prep, casing, equipment maintenance, concrete placement, and rebar work. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather, travel to SE US sites, and obtain OSHA 10 certification.
Qualifications
- Experience in heavy civil construction or deep foundations preferred; training provided.
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety protocols.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
- OSHA 10 certification required.
- Ability to travel to various job sites in the southeastern US.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, clearing and setup.
- Support drilling crew during excavation and casting operations.
- Maintain and rig equipment; perform basic maintenance and cleaning.
- Assist with concrete placement and tremie pipe handling.
- Rig, align and set rebar cages and anchor bolts.
- Maintain a clean, safe work site and manage materials.
