Job summary

BAUER Foundation Corp. is seeking a dedicated Estimator to join our expanding team in Atlanta. The Estimator will prepare estimates for lump sum and time-and-material contracts, review bid specs and drawings, and engage clients for feedback to improve future bids.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM, with occasional travel for pre-bid meetings, site visits, and conferences. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years’ experience in deep foundations or heavy civil works.
• Proficiency in reading plans and specifications.
• Advanced MS Office and basic AutoCAD knowledge.
• Ability to communicate with engineers, PMs and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with key clients.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal meetings and site visits.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work and evaluate quotes.
• Prepare bid status reports and ensure compliance with specs and SOW.
• Present cost estimates to meet proposals with general and special conditions.
• Input quantities into estimating software and maintain cost data.
• Use historical data for pricing estimates.
