Job summary

Beem Credit Union is seeking a Foundational Financial Planner for the Whistler Branch to deliver structured financial planning and lending support. You will assess members, propose credit solutions, and drive growth through proactive member engagement.

The role requires a Diploma/degree in finance or related field, a Mutual Funds license, and 3–5 years in advisory or educational roles; CFP preferred. On-site location in Whistler, BC with a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Mutual Funds License (IFIC/MFDA) required.
• CFP or equivalent advanced designations preferred.
• 3–5 years in financial advisory or educational roles.
• Experience in client-facing roles with financial education and planning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for members.
• Proficiency in financial planning tools and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess members’ financial situations and determine planning strategies.
• Document and present simplified financial plans with clear action steps.
• Act as a trusted advisor guiding members through financial concepts.
• Provide personalized recommendations and monitor progress.
• Conduct annual planning reviews and deepen member engagement.
