Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possesses a valid state driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug/alcohol test.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Understands functions of equipment and can operate equipment safely.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily maintenance activities for safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Adheres to and follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Becomes familiar with micropile drill rig and terminology related to installation of foundation elements.
• Supports Drill Operator as chuck tender; handles rod wrench, greases drill steel and assists with maintenance.
• Learns operation of forklift, grout machine, rock anchors, and micropile drill rig.
• Learns field accounting system and completes paperwork including drill logs and timecards.
• Completes incentives and advances to Foundation Specialist I within 12–18 months.
