Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. in the New England region seeks a hands-on operations assistant who will support preconstruction and field activities across active projects. You will coordinate with project leaders, visit sites, and help ensure work aligns with plans and safety standards.

You’ll gain practical experience on load tests, data review, and change management, with a path for advancement within the organization.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a B.S. in CM, CE, or equivalent.
• Strong communication with internal and external customers.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Analytical and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support operations during preconstruction and construction.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foreman.
• Frequent site visits to ensure work meets plans and specs.
• Follow MDB safety policies and practices.
• Review field documentation for correctness and completeness.
• Assist with monthly progress submittals for customer billing.
• Learn on-site operations: load tests on rock anchors and micropiles.
• Review load test data and submit to customer in time.
• Monitor scopes of work, changes, and change orders.
• Prepare preconstruction submittals and grab-and-go packets.
