Job summary

The College of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Scholarship Coordinator to support the Office of Student Financial Assistance. The role focuses on managing foundation scholarships, posting private scholarships in the college’s financial aid system, and serving as a liaison between the financial aid office, the Foundation, faculty, and staff.

You will contribute to automation efforts in scholarship processes, ensuring high accuracy in aid administration and timely communication with students

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; substitutions considered with experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large workload and handle complex financial aid processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity in a multicultural environment; communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Experience in financial aid processes, regulations, and awarding, especially scholarships.

Responsibilities

• Update and reconcile internal and external scholarships in PAWS and related systems.
• Maintain knowledge of Financial Aid policies and provide guidance on scholarship practices.
• Serve as primary contact for inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding scholarships.
• Assist with posting private outside scholarships and data to AwardSpring as required.
