Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Grants Development Manager to identify grant opportunities, rate prospects, cultivate relationships, and develop foundation proposals to support our programs and services across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health care administration, communications or a related field.
• Three years of professional experience in the development field including grant writing and/or major gift cultivation and solicitation.
• Exemplary oral and written communications skills are required.
• Strong computer and information management skill preferred.
• Basic budget preparation and time management skills, as well as excellent project management and relationship management required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of active foundation donors and prospects, creating cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Participate in the grants development annual business plan and multi-year strategic objectives for foundation fundraising.
• Develop foundation proposals including budgets and letters of support.
• Provide grant development and foundation identification support to affiliate staff; promote collaboration with the Grants Development office.
• Create annual stewardship plans for each foundation grant; ensure proper recording, acknowledgement and reporting.
• Engage in moves-management, document the rating, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of grants.
• Collaborate with trustees, volunteers, and development committees; participate in system-wide fundraising efforts.
