Job summary

Upbring is seeking a Foundation Relations Specialist to build and manage relationships with family, professional, and corporate foundations to secure funding for our programs. You will identify funders, develop fundraising strategies, submit proposals, and manage foundation stewardship.

In collaboration with the Grants & Funding Opportunities Manager and the Vice President of Development Operations, you will plan and execute a comprehensive fundraising program to meet agency goals, cultivate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, Political Science, Journalism, or closely related field
• Three (3) years of fundraising experience in nonprofit or church settings
• Three (3) years of experience in roles requiring strong written and verbal communication skills
• Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management or Public Administration (preferred)
• Five (5) years of fundraising experience in nonprofit or church settings (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience obtaining foundation grants and maintaining foundation relationships (preferred)
• Proficiency with relational database Raiser's Edge (preferred)
• Proficiency with Foundation Directory Online to conduct prospect research (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a comprehensive fundraising program to secure funding from foundations and granting agencies
• Lead and direct the management of the foundation portfolio with regular communication and visits to foundation partners
• Research, identify, qualify, and write proposals to fund agency missions and programs
• Develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for existing and prospective foundations
• Coordinate foundation site visits and donor tours, and participate in program site visits
• Other duties and projects as assigned
